DCP and MRP: progress made but still room for improvement

There has been significant progress in the relationship between the pharmaceutical industry and Member States' national competence authorities, and this is thanks to all stakeholders, including drug companies, policy makers and medicines agencies, believes Lieven Costers, Associate Director at Procter & Gamble. During a recent London conference organised by the European Association of Self-Medication Industry (EASGP), Mr Costers said that the industry sees and appreciates the ongoing effort of Member States in the area of administrative simplification, but he noted at the same time that certain areas - especially those related to the decentralised and mutual recognition authorisation procedures - still need improvement.
