In the geometric-optics limit, Yang-Mills gravity with space-time translational gauge symmetry predicts Delta phi = 7Gm/(2R) approximate to 1.53 '' for the deflection of a light ray by the sun. The result, which is about 12% smaller than that in the conventional theory, is consistent with experiments involving optical frequencies that had an accuracy of 10-20%.
