Great potential of miRNAs as predictive and prognostic markers for cancer

miRNAs are emerging as important modulators in cellular pathways and play a key role in carcinogenesis. Recent studies have identified a number of miRNAs as potential biomarkers for cancer; some of them act as oncogenes, tumor suppressors or modulators of metastasis.
