Ithaca ends takeover talks

Ithaca Energy said that it has ended talks about a possible takeover bid for the company. Ithaca said the board had concluded that any deal would not properly reflect the value of the company, particularly in light of the current volatility in global markets and the short term softening in Brent crude prices.
