Ithaca ends takeover talks

Ithaca Energy said today that it has ended talks about a possible takeover bid for the company. Ithaca said the board had concluded that any deal would not properly reflect the value of the com- pany, particularly in light of the current volatility in global markets and the short term softening in Brent crude prices.
