Polyacetal producer calls for price increases of up to EUR150/ tonne from 1st November largely went unheeded apart from some small upward adjustments in the region of EURl0-20/tonne for standard grades and EUR20-30/ tonne for specialty grade material. A sharp rise in the cost of methanol will, however, ensure that POM producers make a more concerted effort to raise prices during their annual contract negotiations beginning in the first quarter of the New Year.
