New Delhi, India - Continental AG plans to invest $71 million (?52 million) through 2013 in its newly acquired tyre plant in Modipuram, India, to expand cross-ply truck tyre capacity and add capacity for radial car and truck tyres. The projects, announced in India at the end of August by Continental India Ltd, will double cross-ply truck tyre capacity to more than 1 million units annually and create 600 to 800 jobs.
