The European market for adhesives is estimated by John Howard,an insider in this sector,to have reached 1.28 million t in the year 2003.Sales are highest in Germany,which accounts for 27.5% of total demand.Much further behind Great Britain(15.7%)and France(15.2%)follow.The central European countries(11.6 %)together account for something like the same value of sales as in Italy(11.8%).About half of this market volume falls to the Iberian countries(5.6%),the Benelux area(5.3%)and the Nordic States(5.1%).
