POLYPHENOL CONTENTS IN THE DIMORPHIC LEAVES OF SOME FERNS FROM SOUTHERN INDIA

摘要

In this paper efforts have been made to study the polyphenol contents in some dimorphic ferns viz; Drynaria quercifolia (L.)J-Sm, Ceratopteris thalictroides (L.)Brongh, Salvinia molesta Mitch, Marsilea quadrifolia L, Bolbitis appendiculata (Willd.)K.Iwats, B. virens Bedd, Osmunda hugelina L. and Lygodium flexuosum Bedd, Ophioglossum reticulation L, Acrostichum auream L. growing in different habitats. The amino acids are maximum in the fertile stage than the vegetative in majority of the species.
