An experience of the micromorphological diagnostics of urban soils

摘要

The micromorphological study of urban soils in the southern taiga revealed that their formation is controlled by a group of processes atypical for soddy-podzolic soils. In particular, urban soils are characterized by a considerable accumulation of detritus and raw humus, as well as by the development of gleyzation in the presence of carbonates and the formation of ferruginous concretions and vivianite. Soil sealing accelerates gleyzation and affects the distribution of carbonates.
