Effects of ground fires on the biological activity of cryogenic soils in northern siberia

The results of studying the influence of medium-intensive ground fires on the biological activity of soil in larch forests of Central Evenkia are presented. The number and diversity of microorganisms and the enzymatic activity of cryogenic soils are found to depend on the duration of the postfire period.
