Looking into a gap of a tribological contact we find a number of stress situations for the solid surfaces and the lubricant. The applied stress is responsible for different mechanisms which are arising in a micro and macro scale. The friction process is determined by the sum of the system properties. The used lubricant plays a decisive role. We have focused our work on the observation of the tribological behaviour of the lubricating grease.
