The emesine assassin bug genus Emesopsis is reported from Vietnam for the first time and is briefly diagnosed, and two new species of the genus, E. longipilosa and E. albispinosa, are described. They were collected by beating dead, drooping leaves ofthe banana, Musa acuminata (Musaceae).
