Flies (Diptera) inhabiting birds' nests in the 'Forest on the River Vorskla' nature reserve (Belgorod Province, Russia)

A list of 43 fly species collected and reared from nests of 12 bird species from Belgorod Province of Russia ("Forest on the Vorskla River" Nature Reserve) is given. Three variants of classification of nidicolous flies (based on their trophic and topic relations and also on extent to which these relations are constant) are provided. Obligatory nidicoles are represented by 550 specimens of 7 species; facultative nidicoles, by 3000 specimens of 13 species; and occasional nidicoles, by 50 specimens of16 species; alien to the nests are 20 specimens of 7 species. New data on species distribution and ecology are reported.
