摘要

A field experiment on the effect of sulfur and phosphorus on growth, yield and quality of summer green gram [ Vigna radiata (L.) Wilczek] was conducted during summer 2010. The results showed that significantly higher seed yield (814 kg/ha) and straw yield (1563 kg/ha) were found with the application of 60 kg P 2O 5/ha. An application of 60 kg P 2O 5/ha -1 recorded significantly highest nitrogen (3.96 and 1.85%), phosphorus (0.475 and 0.351%) and potassium (0.767 and 0.878%) concentration in seed and straw. Significantly the highest uptake of nitrogen (34.75 and 29.83 kg/ha -1), phosphorus (4.75 and 4.66 kg/ha -1) and potassium (7.71 and 15.40 kg/ha -1) by seed and straw were observed with application of phosphorus @ 60 kg P 2O 5 ha -1. The application of phosphorus @ 60 kg P 2O 5/ha recorded significantly the highest protein content (24.81%).
