Getting students interested in energy

A 2007 report by the Cogent Sector Skills Council stated that: 'there are only a small number of undergraduates studying chemical, process and energy engineering and yet this is an area in demand from employers.' The report also demonstrated that students were opting-out of science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) subjects even earlier, with a decline in the numbers of students taking these subjects at A-level.
