The aim of the IPT in 1914 was 'to determine the hallmark of proficiency in connection with our profession' and this remains the case 100 years later. The El continues to deliver knowledge, skills and good practice to strengthen professionalism within the sector and ensure that the highest possible standards of competence and expertise are applied across the energy industry.
