Old Editors Never Die, They Just Fade Away

It has been an honor to have been the Editor of Endocrine Practice for the past 7 years. I have been blessed with 2 outstanding Editorial Assistants, Kristin Schuller for the first 5 years, and Erin Long for the past 2 years. They have been the face of the Journal, dealing gently and efficiently with authors and the Jacksonville staff. Lori Clawges, Director of Communications and Publications, has provided me with outstanding support and has always responded to my almost weekly questions with remarkable patience. Lisa Gergen, Managing Editor, and Nikki Vorwerk, Publications Coordinator, have kept the Journal running smoothly and efficiently. First the Nelsons and, more recently, ScienceDocs have made sure that all manuscripts are published in the best possible form. Our Associate Editors over the past 7 years have provided Endocrine Practice and me with the most efficient and thoughtful guidance of manuscripts through the review process. The members of the Editorial Board have done the real work in reviewing manuscripts, almost always rapidly and carefully. Finally, I am indebted to Don Jones and Mike Avallone for their guidance and help during my tenure as Editor-in-Chief.
