摘要

An adsorptive stripping voltammetric determination of N-nitrosamines is reported at sulfopolyester (Eastek) modified gold electrodes. In this way N-nitroso-N-butyl-N-propylamine, a representative carcinogenic N-nitroso compound, may be quantified down to concentrations of 10(-10) M. Enhanced, preaccumulative uptake of the N-nitrosamine, was postulated to be due to sulfonate moieties present within the polymer structure, with polymers possessing the highest degree of sulfonation giving rise to the greatest enhancement in voltammetric responses. The effect of polymer solubility is also investigated with a view to how the competition of these two factors affected final electrode performances. [References: 27]
