LINE LEAKAGE AND GROUND BOND TESTING

The new Extech Model 7620 Line Leakage Tester, available from Westek Electronics, measures leakage current in medical, consumer and industrial apparatus in accordance with a wide range international safety UL and IEC standards. The instrument is extremely flexible in use because of the five inbuilt RC networks as specified by various safety standards. Measurement conditions include normal and reversed active and neutral, normal and reversed active and neutral with neutral grounded, single fault to line, single fault to neutral, and the foregoing with neutral grounded. The Extech 7620 Line Leakage Tester has five current ranges from 30 microamps full scale to six milliamps full scale and a line voltmeter measure to 300 V AC. There are 50 sets of test setups of 8 steps each with programmable test delay times variable from 0.5 to 999.9 seconds. The Extech 7620 is readily integrated into an ATE facility through the availability of optional RS232 and GPIB ports. An optional printer port is also available.
