Energy ministers of the Group of Seven (G7) industrialised countries have agreed to bolster support for investment in development of upstream oil and gas resources. The G7 energy ministerial meeting this week closed its twoday session in Japan, held in Fukuoka prefecture’s Kitakyushu, calling on the need for private and government support at a time when the oil price plunge has seriously dampened investment. The ministers stressed that the G7 nations should continue to play a leading role in achieving global oil and gas supply stability.
