Regulators approve ExxonMobil Torrance restart

California regulators have approved ExxonMobil’s plans to repair and restart refining equipment that exploded last February, the latest step toward the return of a major state gasoline producer and the oil major’s exit from the state's refining business. The California Department of Industrial Relations (Cal/ OSHA) last week approved ExxonMobil to restart pollution control and gasoline-producing units at its 155,000 b/d refinery in Torrance, California.
