摘要

Squirrel cage induction motors are of major interest because of their simplicity and low cost. The rotor currents of squirrel induction machines are not accessible. In order to control the torque or speed of an induction motor, one must establish a flux observer to estimate the magnetizing currents. By using the advances of digital signal processing (DSP) technologies or the FPGA controller, the control schemes of induction motors are improved from simple scalar control strategies to field oriented control and direct torque control.
