GPRE Reports Positive Net Income in 2Q 2013 Earnings, Improved Margins

Omaha, Neb.-based vertically integrated ethanol producer Green Plains Renewable Energy Inc. (GPRE) posted on July 30 a net income of US$6 million for the second-quarter (2Q) ended June 30 compared to a net loss of $7.6 million during the same period in 2012. Revenues were $804.7 million for the second-quarter this year compared to $870.4 million for the same period a year ago.
