Ciba and Max Planck Institute Link on Plastic Electronics

Ciba Specialty Chemicals(Basel,Switzerland)and the Max Planck Institute(Mainz,Germany)say they have entered into a partnership to develop plastic electronic materials,which the partners say will accelerate the speed at which printed electronic materials come to market.The partners say they will release details of the partnership at the Plastic Electronics Conference in Frankfurt on October 24-25.The deal will combine Max Planck's research expertise with Ciba's commercial know-how"to investigate a range of promising materials which could be used in roll-to-roll printing of plastic electronic circuitry,"the partners say."
