In a recent retrospective analysis of men, aged 50 years or over, we observed a higher odds ratios (OR) for diabetes in graying males with dark eyebrows (OR 3.17) vs. those with graying eyebrows (OR 0.19). We conclude that the presence of dark eyebrows with graying scalp hair in men may be a clinical sign for patients at risk of diabetes type II (Fig. 1).
