摘要

Consumer attitude seems positive towards PDO cheeses. Market shares however do not reflect this. Based on a scanned data consumers' panel, the paper focuses on purchases of PDO camembert from Normandy in order to study the difference between attitude and behaviour. PDO camembert is either greatly appreciated or totally rejected: it does not leave consumers indifferent. The number of camembert consumers remains small. Despite its complexity, the scanned data panel seems a convenient tool to study consumer behaviour for typical foods in mass marketing.
