摘要

The effect of 1.0 mg and 2.0 mg of Bovine Serum Albumin (BSA) on liver transaminases was studied in Labeo rohita. The soluble antigen BSA induced considerable elevation of liver transaminases when administered orally and intramuscularly. The higher increase of liver transaminases in animals received antigen via intramuscularl route suggests that possibly the antigen has reached the liver directly instead of undergoing processing when given orally. The magnitude of hepatic response has been shown to be route dependent for injected antigen, BSA.
