U-turn on Norway's Sn?hvit oil

The partners in the Barents Sea Sn?hvit gas field development have decided to drill an oil appraisal well to map the resources in the field more closely, just weeks after saying the oil was too expensive to tap.Statoil now says an appraisal well at Sn?hvit must be drilled by the summer of 2007 if potential oil production is to begin before the field's gas pressure becomes too low.
