China’s CNOOC Ltd has recorded record profit for the year ended 31 December 2005. During 2005, the state-owned company’s profit hit a record high of US 3.16 Bn, the highest since the company was listed. The profit represents an increase of 1.15 Bn or 57% from 2004.
