Iran has launched two phases of its South Pars gas field in the Middle East Gulf with an estimated production of 1.77 BMcf/d (50 MMcm/d) of gas. Phases 9 and 10 of South Pars cost around US $4 Bn to develop and is estimated to generate income of around $1.3 B a year, reported the state IRNA news agency.
