Japan's Marubeni has formed a strategic alliance with Norway's Fred Olsen Production for offshore oil field development projects in Asia.Marubeni said the joint venture will target projects in Vietnam, China, Thailand and Cambodia that can utilise floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessels or floating storage and offloading (FSO) vessels, which are the specialty of Fred Olsen.
