Hard times mean hard decisions, but talent management is important regardless of the economic climate. The current environment is without doubt one of the most challenging corporate leaders have seen in their careers. However, energy companies should keep in mind that it is only one phase of a business cycle. While some companies in the industry struggle, others will emerge even stronger. Accenture believes that in this unique environment, companies will need to rethink their approach to talent management to achieve high performance. Rethinking talent management today means recognizing the link between market pressures, business strategy, and the impact that human capital can have on bottom-line business results.
