Myanmar wants to sell its gas to China and deliver it via a pipeline, even though the move will cut out South Korea and Japan from access to reserves, said South Korea's Energy Ministry.South Korea and Japan have been lobbying Myanmar to develop its gas via LNG facilities, while neighbours China, India and Thailand are all keen on the pipeline option.
