On arrival in Hong Kong I travelled by ferry to Macau. I had not been to Macau previously; it is one of the two Special Administrative Regions of the People's Republic of China. This was a Portuguese colony until 1999 and its economy is heavily dependent on gambling and tourism but does have some manufacturing. The first Association meeting on Macau was with the President and other Members of the Macau Building Materials Enterprise Chamber of Commerce.
