Pro-active asset tracking monitoring lifecycle valuation

IF AN ORGANISATION is aware of the deterioration, depreciation and valuation of infrastructure and other fixed assets, it can pro-actively plan for the future and ensure accurate compliance reporting. In 2001, after years of international consulting experience Steve Lyons and Chris Jenkins, both MIPENZ, decided to pool their insights by forming Auckland-based asset management specialist SPM and embedding their best ideas into software. They had been at the forefront of asset management when the industry began in 1995-1996 and had worked out ways to improve data collection and analysis, recognising that accurate data was crucial to getting asset planning and analysis right - "Without this there was little point in doing it."
