In the 11 months since its launch in September 2008, the use of e-learning at Boots UK has soared to 71% of the firm's 65,000 employees across 2,600 stores. With 228,380 e-learning modules now completed, this is an average of 3.5 per store employee. The company is a member of Alliance Boots - a leading international pharmacy-led health and beauty group which was formed by the merger of Alliance UniChem plc and Boots Group plc in July 2006. Boots UK has a history stretching back 160 years and is a familiar sight on Britain's high streets.
