IPM presents at K 2010 a new range of fully automatic socketing machines working in-line to form sockets by injection directly on corrugated double-walled pipes. What it is worth being underlined is the versatility of these machines, as they are able to socket both polyethylene and polypropylene pipes just by moulds' changing. It is an ambitious project which, after years of research and thanks to the support of the University of Bologna, has allowed to realize a few patents as well as a new technology which is able to cope with the fastest extrusion lines for corrugated pipes now available on the market.
