A price review for public land sales released by the Minnesota Dept.of Natural Resources(DNR)clearly quantifies the dramatic increase in pulpwood stumpage rates between 2003-2005,with the greatest upturn from 2004-2005.The surge comes after only modest gains since 1997.Topping the list was aspen stumpage,increasing almost 61% from 2004 to 2005,averaging 59.70/cord across sales from state,county and federal forests.
