PLANNING PORTAL LAUNCHES NATIONAL PLANNING APPLICATION REGISTER

The planning portal has launched a new development aimed at delivering greater transparency to the planning system - the National Planning Application Register. The National Planning Application Register (http://www.planningportal.gov.uk/england/ genpub/en/1115312870351.html), developed and delivered by EMAP Glenigan, allows citizens to search for planning application information by location, project type or application/decision status. The service was designed to provide up-to-the-minute information on planning applications to citizens across England and Wales and complements the register services offered by local planning authorities. This innovative service will run as a pilot for the next 18 months during which the PLanning Portal and EMAP Glenigan will seek feedback from users and stakeholders.
