Venezuela's Chavez Visits China to Expand Energy Cooperation

Venezuela's President Hugo Chavez started a three-day visit to China on Wednesday as part of an Asian tour which he hopes will strengthen his country's ties with some of the world's largest oil consumers and diversify Venezuela's oil export markets. Chavez said Venezuela plans to increase its oil exports to China from 380,000 barrels per day to 1 million b/d by 2013.
