Italian major Eni plans to start production at its Marulk gas discovery off Norway in 2012. The project is expected to cost $673 million and to come on stream in the second quarter of 2012. Marulk holds an estimated 9.4 Bcm of gas and 4.4 million bbl of condensate. It lies in production license 122. Eni is operator with a 20% interest; its partners are Norway’s Sta- toil (50%) and Denmark’s Dong Energy (30%).
