ConocoPhillips is drilling additional wells in its Timor Sea Bayu Undan gas and condensate field in the joint petroleum development area between Australia and East Timor. The firm's Australia chief, Joseph Marushack, said Thursday that four more wells will be spudded in areas that had not previously seen any drilling. The field's output of 1.1 Bcf/d of gas and 102,000 b/d of liquids is currently achieved via eight development wells. "We are basically drilling to keep the production of liquids on a plateau," he said.
