Economic Downturn, Fuel Substitution Hit Indonesian Demand

The economic downturn and fuel substitution combined to take a bite out of Indonesian products demand in the first half of the year. Preliminary data from downstream regulator BPH Migas show that consumption of subsidized gasoline, gas oil and kerosene all fell over the six months compared to the same period last year.
