Exxon Gets its Mann in Caspian

Exxon Mobil has hired Steven Mann, the former US envoy for Caspian energy affairs, to support its operations in the Eurasian region. Mann is a former US ambassador to Turkmenistan, and played a key role as President George W. Bush's Caspian envoy in getting the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline off the ground. Exxon has operations in Russia, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, and is seeking opportunities in Turkmenistan.
