Danish Oil Output Drops

Denmark deviated from its usual seasonal maintenance pattern this year, with normal August work spread out across May-July and then again in September, leaving August production the highest since April. According to data released Monday by the Danish Energy Agency, oil output averaged 256,000 b/d in September, down 14,000 b/d from August and almost the same as in June and July. What little maintenance there was in August continued throughout September at Danish Underground Consortium's (DUC) small Harald and Lulita fields. DUC's much larger Siri-Cecilie-Nini complex was also down for the whole of September, accounting for more than half the monthly decline. Most of the rest of the drop occurred at the Dan field, where production fell to its lowest level of the year at 56,510 b/d. Output at DUC's Halfdan, Denmark's biggest field by far, rose slightly to 102,680 b/d.
