Synthesis and characterisation of copper complexes with N-ferrocenoyl-N'-aryl(alkyl) thioureas

摘要

The treament of CuCl_2 center dot 2H_2O with ferrocenoyl-substituted thioureas of the type Fc-C(O)-NH -C(S)-N'HR (Fc=ferrocenyl; R=C_6H_5; C_6H_4-p-OMe; C_6H_4-p-C(O)Me); C_6H_4-oCl; C_6H_4-o-NO_2; iPr) gives the corresponding copper (I) derivatives with the metallic centre in an unusual coordination . The complexes were characterised by spectroscopic methods and X-ray diffraction studies. The electrochemical behaviour of these compounds was also investigated
