BP Problems Help Crimp Angolan Exports

Problems at BP's Greater Plutonio com- plex in Angola's Block 18 have helped drag down Angolan exports to as little as 1.57 million barrels per day in the last quarter of 2010. Cargo tracking by International Oil Daily sister publication Energy Intelligence Briefing suggests that actual liftings averaged around 1.56 million b/d in October and 1.58 million b/d in November, and will re- vert to 1.56 million this month. The ourth-quarter average is more than 11% below year-ago levels, when exports aver- aged roughly 1.77 million b/d.
