Royal Dutch Shell is reportedly no longer involved in negotiations for a joint venture with Chinese state Sinopec and Kuwait Petroleum Corp. (KPC) to build a new refinery in Guangdong province. Dow Jones Newswires reported Thursday that Shell had pulled out of talks, citing a spokeswoman as saying the firm decided not to pursue the opportunity due to "strategic considerations."
