摘要

Nano-scale and single crystals of a new Mn~(II) complex, {[Mn(pyterpy)(H_2O)(NCS)_(1.88)Cl_(0.12)] DMF) (1) [pyterpy = 4'-(4-pyridyl)-2,2':6',2"-terpyridine] have been synthesized by the reaction of pyterpy and mixtures of manganese(II) acetate and potassium thiocyanate as well as potassium chloride using sono_chemical and heat gradient methods, respectively. The nano-structure was characterized by IR spectros_copy and scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and the structure of compound 1 was determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Thermal stability and catalytic properties of nanoparticles and single crystalline samples of compound 1 were studied and are compared with each other.
